The data Facebook Recycle gathers is posted to the user’s News Feed, and is simultaneously linked to a relevant advertisement that is displayed on the left sidebar. This model has proved successful with Social Ads and Beacon, and we are excited to introduce it with Facebook Recycle as well.

It runs quietly in the background, collecting data from the user’s personal computer, and requires a minimal amount of RAM.
